About ACDP Online

The ACDP Online platform is for seniors who have signed up for the Alabama Career Discovery Program. Once you sign in, you will see three sections: Discover, Learn, & Connect.

The Discover section is is like a social media news feed, featuring videos, polls, articles, etc all to help you learn more about developing and discovering a career path. 

The Learn section features the Wired For Work video series which will help you lean more from your career assessment and discovery next steps on your journey. 

The Connect section will feature more about our Career Partners and the opportunities that they will offer in early 2026. This opportunities will include shadowing, internships, and possible job openings.

Our mission is to give each participating student the vision and the tools to leave high school with a plan for the next chapter of life so that you can become respectable, productive, and profitable adults in our community.

Understanding the Alabama Career Discovery Program?

The transition from high school to your future career can be overwhelming, but we are here to help. The Alabama Career Discovery Program provides a structured and supportive environment to help you explore career options and set yourself up for success.

Program Highlights:

• Career Direct Assessment: Discover your strengths! This comprehensive assessment evaluates your personality, interests, skills, and values to recommend potential career options tailored to you.
• Career Coaching: After completing your assessment, you'll engage in a 60-minute group coaching session, with our director, to discuss your results and receive personalized guidance. This session will most likely take place at your school but could be offered online if scheduling conflicts occur. 
• Training Phase: Gain essential skills for your future through on-demand video training course and interactive private online network. Learn how to set meaningful goals, develop a strong resume, and position yourself for college or career success. 
• Career Partner Connections: Get introduced to local career partners, in all major career clusters, and apply for shadowing, internship, and possible job opportunities. In May, ACDP will also give multiple scholarships for college or trade school education.

Who Can Participate?

The Alabama Career Discovery Program is open to public high school seniors in Montgomery County. Whether you plan to attend college, join a vocational program, or jump straight into the workforce, ACDP will help you make informed decisions and build a solid foundation for your future. In order to access the ACDP Online platform, you will need to sign up for the program on the main ACDP page.
